One recommendation though, perhaps you could leave a detailed map of the country in the car for the use of drivers who do not use a GPS. For the rest though, I had a very enjoyable time. When I filled up with petrol at the end of my journey, I actually used more petrol than I budgeted for with the mini car and unfortunately the petrol station charged my card in Euro and then it had to be converted to pounds which let to another additional conversion fee.
I then had to pay an additional Conversion Fee (I had a multi currency card, but only uploaded £ and Euro since that was the only countries I will travel in). When I checked my card statement the rental car company seemed to deduct an amount of $10.38 from my card. She assured me it would only be £5 extra and that the petrol comsumption would be better. the very professional lady at the counter at Heathrow suggested that I upgrade the car I booked (a mini car ) to one that would be better for long distance driving.
Two small things I'm not 100% happy about.
